RAVUS, INC. - Terms and Conditions

By proceeding with this purchase, you ("Customer") acknowledge and agree to the following comprehensive data protection terms established by Ravus, Inc. ("Ravus"), incorporated in Delaware with its principal place of business at 232 N 1st St. West, Missoula, MT 59803.

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 "Customer Information" includes but is not limited to: personal data, personally identifiable information, contact information, purchase history, product preferences, payment details, transaction records, browsing behavior on Ravus platforms, communication content with Ravus representatives, and any other data provided to or collected by Ravus during transactions or communications.

1.2 "Data Protection Laws" means all applicable laws, regulations, and binding industry standards governing the collection, use, disclosure, storage, or other processing of Customer Information, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable state, federal, and international privacy regulations.

2. COLLECTION AND USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION

2.1 Limited Collection: Ravus will collect only Customer Information that is necessary and relevant for legitimate business purposes.

2.2 Permitted Uses: Ravus may use Customer Information solely for:

  • Processing, fulfilling, and tracking orders

  • Providing customer support and responding to inquiries

  • Improving products, services, and user experience

  • Communications directly related to purchases, Customer's account, or product updates

  • Fraud detection and security enhancement

  • Legal compliance purposes

  • Other purposes explicitly authorized by Customer

2.3 Prohibited Uses: Ravus shall not use Customer Information for:

  • Selling, renting, or transferring to unaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes

  • Creating consumer profiles unrelated to Ravus products and services

  • Any purpose incompatible with the purposes disclosed at the time of collection

3. RAVUS DATA PROTECTION COMMITMENTS

3.1 Confidentiality: Ravus will maintain the confidentiality of all Customer Information and ensure that employees with access to such information are bound by confidentiality obligations.

3.2 Security Measures: Ravus will implement and maintain appropriate technical, organizational, and physical safeguards to protect Customer Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, consistent with industry standards and best practices.

3.3 Data Minimization: Ravus will limit collection and processing of Customer Information to what is adequate, relevant, and necessary for the intended purposes.

3.4 Retention Limitation: Ravus will retain Customer Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in these terms, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

3.5 Breach Notification: Ravus will notify Customer of any confirmed unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of Customer Information without undue delay, where required by applicable law.

4. THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE RESTRICTIONS

4.1 Limited Disclosures: Ravus will not share Customer Information with third parties except:

  • With service providers who assist in business operations and require such information to provide services to or on behalf of Ravus, subject to contractual protections

  • As required by law, regulation, court order, or valid legal process

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets with appropriate confidentiality protections

  • With Customer's explicit consent

4.2 Service Provider Requirements: Ravus will ensure that all service providers who process Customer Information:

  • Are bound by written contracts requiring appropriate safeguards

  • Process Customer Information only according to Ravus's instructions

  • Implement appropriate security measures

  • Assist Ravus in fulfilling its obligations under applicable Data Protection Laws

5. CUSTOMER RIGHTS

5.1 Customers may:

  • Request access to their personal information

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Request deletion of their information, subject to legal retention requirements

  • Object to or restrict certain processing of their information

  • Request portability of information provided to Ravus

  • Opt out of marketing communications and certain data sharing practices

  • Lodge complaints with relevant supervisory authorities

5.2 Exercise of Rights: To exercise these rights, Customer may contact Ravus at [privacy@ravus.com] or through the account management interface.

6. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

6.1 Ravus may use cookies and similar tracking technologies on its websites and services for:

  • Essential functions and security purposes

  • Analytics and performance measurement

  • Enhanced user experience

  • Targeted marketing with consent where required

6.2 Customer may manage cookie preferences through browser settings and opt-out mechanisms provided by Ravus.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

7.1 Ravus products and services are not directed to children under 13 years of age.

7.2 Ravus does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If Ravus discovers it has collected information from a child under 13, it will promptly delete such information.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

8.1 If Customer Information is transferred to countries outside the United States, Ravus will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the information consistent with these terms and applicable law.

9. TERM AND SURVIVAL

9.1 These data protection obligations shall commence upon Customer's acceptance and shall continue indefinitely, surviving the completion of any transaction.

9.2 Sections governing the handling, protection, and confidentiality of Customer Information shall survive any termination or expiration of the relationship between Ravus and Customer.

10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

10.1 Ravus may update these terms to reflect changes in its practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated to Customer through the Ravus website or other appropriate means.

11. GENERAL PROVISIONS

11.1 Governing Law: These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without giving effect to any choice of law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

11.3 Severability: If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

11.4 Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding data protection and privacy matters related to Customer Information.
